PRAYER
Father, I now understand that the old me, and my sin nature, died with Christ on the cross. I seek forgiveness and repent of my sins. I truly believe by faith, that with Christ's resurrection, a new me rose with a new nature that exhibits Your attributes oh God, and I thank You that this is who I now am.
The UnGodly forces of oppression, wrong thoughts, torment, depression, fear, affliction, infirmity, sickness, disease, and self-handicapping and self-sabotaging behavior, cannot reside in me, because You live in me now, Lord Jesus, through the Person of the Holy Spirit. With the authority You've given me, I command my muscles, tissues, cells, and blood to come in line now with Your resurrection life, Lord Jesus. Thank You for fully aligning my total being, and every area of my life; with Your perfect soundness provided for me through Your shed blood at Calvary, Lord Jesus. Through regular doses of Your Word, meditation upon Your promises, and application of Your principles, Lord, I will walk in divine health, be a good steward of the body that You have blessed me with, and be in a position to help others to achieve the same.
Give me the ability to avoid acting as if my old sin nature is still alive, though I realize that certain things from the past may hang around like dead vines on a tree. I know that satan wants me to try to breath life into those dead vines, but allow me dear God, to utilize my Christian belief system to replace those vines with things of You, and be able to resist temptation and do what is right; not by the force of sheer willpower alone, but primarily because of the new preferences I've developed because of my new nature.
Please allow me to begin each day by putting on the whole armor of God; truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God; so that I may stand against the wiles of the devil, and say no to sin. Give me the strength and wisdom to continue seeking Christ, to take ownership of my problems, surrender to Jesus, and submit to His process, constantly renewing my new self. These things I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
